Mission & Goals

The mission of the Virginia Road Elementary School is to provide students with a quality education and a foundation that will result in high student achievement. We strive to address our mission within an instructional setting where decisions are based on the individual needs of students and the programs are in keeping with the Valhalla Union Free School District Curriculum and the State Learning Standards.

Our educational vision encompasses active learning, creative thinking, inquiry-based learning, an interdisciplinary approach and high expectations for all students. Our students will learn to appreciate their teachers, parents, community and foster a mutual respect.
